Commissioned by IN10 we developed the new corporate identity for Rotterdam Blijdorp Zoo, together with Nicole Sanberg. In addition we made the design for the new Blijdorp magazine, ‘The Giraffe’.
The central theme in the repositioning of Rotterdam Blijdorp Zoo is the encounter between humans, plants and animals. An encounter that contributes to the love for nature and raises awareness of the relationship between life forms. Readers of the magazine are encouraged to gain more knowledge about plants and animals, and to develop a commitment towards the interesting personalities that populate the Zoo.
Instead of working with discrete, straightforward articles, the content of the stories is presented through various perspectives and interesting facts. A mosaic with enough depth to seduce the skimmer to have a closer read, while offering the attentive reader a lot of diversity.
