A crisp debossed winter mailing
For Volvo Car Netherlands, we designed the 2021 winter mailing. For this direct mail we were given carte blanche. We took that literally with a 3D debossing on the cover of the mailing. The title ‘Veilig de winter in’ translates as ‘Safe into the winter’.
The sets were personalised for 93 Volvo service points and reached more than 42,000 Volvo owners in the Netherlands.
For a warm winter feeling, we used Refit Wool with tangible wool fibers. In Keaykolour Navy we found the right color blue. By first digitally printing this paper with a double layer of white ink, the full color photography appears bright and radiant.
A technical challenge was the 3D blind debossing. After the necessary tests, it was possible to carry it out razor-sharp to the edge. Cutting edge craftsmanship.
The inside of the folder is offset printed. An external lithographer provided the precise settings for the right snow tone on this tactile and light-colored paper.
