Print Buyer, a trade magazine about printed matter, asked us to design the cover of a special edition about envelopes. Everything except the already existing typography. Inspired by the word ‘envelope’, originally meaning ‘to enclose’, we literally wrapped the cover in typography.
The wrap-around cover states ‘enve’ on the front, and ‘lop’ on the back. Because the letters follow a different grid of lines, they come together both in ink and laser die cut.
This edition was printed in four colors and finished with a laser die cut.
